Welcome! If you’re new here, I’m excited to introduce myself (that’s me below- being a bit bonkers on the beach) and share some creative opportunities coming up soon. Whether you’re an absolute beginner artist and just curious about trying something new, these events are designed to inspire and bring people together through art. I’ll tell you a bit about who I am, what drives my creativity, and then dive into the details of two special events: a ‘Step into Spring” paint party in March and a hands-on workshop in April where we’ll make an abstract paint concertina book perfect for journaling or keepsakes. It has a clever folding technique, which is like magic.

About Me and My Creative Journey
Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember although I didn’t have much time for it to be honest. It has helped me switch off from a very demanding and stressful job , and also as an escape from a couple of really hard years of ill health. ( all better now though🥰 ) As I can’t stick to one thing, and am creative depending on how I feel, I find joy in exploring different mediums and techniques, always eager to learn and share what I discover. My approach to creativity is not easy, I have to be in the mood to draw and my mood depends on what I do. I adore making landscape drawings with pastels, although a bit messy, it’s great to get my hands dirty and the big skies here in Norfolk are great inspiration. I have given up worrying about mistakes, because they can generally be covered up, rubbed out or made into something else. Pencil drawings give me time to think about nothing else but what’s in front of me, whether it’s a a pet portrait or a mouse hanging off a poppy. I believe art is not just about the final piece but about the process.
Over the last few years, I’ve hosted various workshops and events that bring people together to create, connect, and unwind, I am trying my hardest to get away from my mobile phone and empower others to do the same. My events are more than just classes; they’re spaces where creativity flows freely, friendships form, and inspiration sparks with some giggling along the way. I’m passionate about making art accessible and fun for all skill levels, whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or have years of experience.
What to Expect at the Paint Party on 7th March 2026
This paint party is a chance to, ‘Step into Spring” and create this great painting in a relaxed, social setting. It’s a goody, with lots of blue sky and hope that warmer weather is coming. It’s perfect for anyone looking to try painting without pressure or complicated instructions. Here’s what you can look forward to:
All materials provided: You don’t need to bring anything but your enthusiasm. I supply canvases, paints, brushes, and aprons.
Guided but flexible: I’ll offer simple prompts and techniques to get you started, but you’re free to explore your own style.
Refreshments and cake: Enjoy tasty treats and drinks while you paint and chat with fellow participants.
A welcoming atmosphere: Whether you come alone or with friends, you’ll find a supportive group ready to share the creative experience.
This event is scheduled for 7th March, at Nordelph Village Hall and spots are limited to keep the group cozy and interactive. I would love everyone to have time to finish their pictures and feel calm about it. I also like to wander round and offer help to everyone if needed. It’s a great way to relax, meet new people, and create something colourful to take home.

How We’ll Create an Abstract Concertina Book on 18th April 2026
On 18th April, the half day workshop focuses on making a unique abstract concertina book. This type of book unfolds like an accordion with some clever cutting and is perfect for journaling, keepsakes, or displaying art. The process is simple but rewarding, and you’ll leave with a handmade book that’s truly your own.
Here’s what the workshop includes:
Step-by-step guidance: I’ll walk you through cutting and folding a large sheet of paper into the concertina shape and creating a simple but sturdy cover and learning a new surprise skill too.
Abstract art techniques: We’ll explore ways to add color, texture, and patterns to your pages using paints, inks, and other materials.
All supplies included: From paper to paints to binding materials, everything you need will be ready for you.
Refreshments and cake: Just like the paint party, you’ll enjoy snacks and drinks to keep your energy up.
Creative freedom: While I’ll provide ideas and examples, you’re encouraged to make the book your own with personal touches.
This half-day workshop is ideal for anyone interested in mixed media, abstract art, book arts and journaling. It’s also a wonderful way to slow down and focus on a creative project in a supportive environment.
